Visiting the site

This edition does not create reader accounts, use a newsletter service, run analytics scripts, set advertising cookies, or use behavioral advertising. Fonts, scripts, images, and the search index are served from the same site.

When publicly hosted on Cloudflare, requests are processed by Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site. Network and security processing can include your IP address, browser information, requested address, and request time. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its processing. Specific hosting logs, retention settings, and international data handling must be confirmed by the operator at launch; this preview does not claim a fixed retention period.

Search

The article search runs in your browser using a downloadable index of this publication. Search text appears in the page address as a query parameter. A search submission within the page is processed locally; a direct visit or refresh of a search URL can include that address in the request received by the hosting provider. Do not enter sensitive personal information in the search box. Search terms are not sent to Google advertising services in this edition.

Contacting the publication

If you email the publication once a public address is available, the operator and its email provider will process your address and the information you choose to include to respond to your inquiry. The operator must confirm its email provider and retention practice before public launch. Do not send sensitive information unnecessarily.

External links

Following an external link takes you to another organization, which has its own data practices. A link is not an automatic transfer of the article search history. This site uses a referrer policy that limits the information sent to other origins by supported browsers.

Advertising

Google AFC display ads and AFS search ads are disabled. If Google advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated before activation to identify the actual integration and data use. Google and advertising partners may then use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
